Represents the program and keeps it running as an organization — the person who speaks for it and steers it.

Not your call

Faculty decisions — budget approval, equipment purchases, grading — stay with the advisor.

First move

Set the year's priorities with the advisor before the first meeting, not during it.

Titles are usually given to whoever's already doing the work — if that's you, say so.

Backs up the president and picks up whatever the club needs that isn't already covered.

Keeps the record — meeting minutes, attendance, and the paper trail that makes the club function like an organization.

Keeps the gear catalog honest — what exists, what's checked out, and what needs fixing.

Runs the program's public presence — posting the work, and making sure it actually reaches people.

Gets the word out about screenings, festivals, and events — makes sure an audience actually shows up.

Manages festival submissions — deadlines, formats, and getting the program's work in front of judges.
